Do you love motorcycles and motorcycling? Would you like to come to our Festival of Motorcycling? If so, read on!
This year Crofton Beam Engines is hosting a Festival of Motorcycling alongside its steaming of the historic beam engines on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th June.
We have partnered with our friends at the Atwell-Wilson Motor Museum in Calne for this event and have a range of exhibits, talks, displays and activities planned across the weekend around the subject of motorcycles and motorcycling.
Principal Exhibits and Activities are:
Douglas 1924 2 3/4 HP CW – a fascinating motorcycle quite similar to the Douglas motorcycles used in the First World War by dispatch riders.
Triumph Model SD of 1923, with Hopley folding sidecar
Illustrated talk by Roger Fogg, “The Social History of Motorcycling”. 2:15pm both days, accompanied by two motorcycles belonging to Mr Fogg
MG TD II car of 1952, a superb vehicle normally on display only at the Atwell-Wilson Museum
We look forward to seeing you! Normal Steaming Day ticket prices apply. Programme and exhibits may be subject to change due to circumstances beyond our control.
